A poem on Bediüzzaman, by:Mutayyib Muhammad Khan, India

Bediuzzaman

Was looking at a tree alone in the dark
And my contemporaries under its toxic bark
I saw them from outside and cut the tree
And did lot of struggle to make them free
Bediuzzaman he is lovingly said For us aspirants he is our head

He saw the collapse of the Ottoman Empire
And to his home intruding a Russian sire
Did Jihad of word, fought for his right
Not to forget his exemplary sight
Bediuzzaman he is lovingly said For us aspirants he is our head

As we see from our class one
We saw the night, never the sun
This was his struggle, this was his strive
To take us back when we were alive
Bediuzzaman he is lovingly said For us aspirants he is our head

He wanted us to unite against materialism
And against biased science of naturalism
He proved that their findings are absurd
Through his high character and in his word
Bediuzzaman he is lovingly said For us aspirants he is our head

Oh! Great soul your character is high
For the teaching, thanking you with a sigh
Of awakening us you are the cause
We needed you desperately because
Bediuzzaman you are lovingly said For us aspirants you are our head
